Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Head of the Steering Committee, chaired the meeting.

On the morning of May 13, the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Agricultural Park, in coordination with the Thai Nguyen Department of Science and Technology and the University of Agriculture and Forestry under Thai Nguyen University, officially launched the 2026 contest titled “Innovation Startup in High-Tech Agriculture” for the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region.

On March 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government’s Steering Committee on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06, chaired the Committee’s second meeting of 2026. The meeting was held in person at Government Headquarters and connected online with steering committees of provinces and centrally run cities, including Thai Nguyen Province.
The Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of Thai Nguyen Province held a working conference with Samsung Vietnam and relevant agencies and units to promote the deployment of the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) Project and the establishment of an SIC Lab at Thai Nguyen University.
Recently, at the University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen University, the opening ceremony of the final round of the 2025 Startup and Innovation Ideas Competition was held.
Recently, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, chaired the 8th conference of the Provincial People’s Committee to review the province’s socio-economic development, identify key tasks for the final month of 2025, and give opinions on several issues.
Innovation needs to focus on the effective application of science and digital transformation.
