On the morning of May 6, Mr. Nong Quang Nhat, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, received and held a working session with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam, led by Ms. Renee Deschamps, Deputy Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam.

On the morning of April 12, Military Region 1 solemnly held a ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People’s Armed Forces.

Recently, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee held a conference to launch plans for the 2026 “Innovation – For Our Beloved Thai Nguyen” Competition; the 100-day campaign to digitize, clean, and standardize data; and efforts on land registration, cadastral record preparation, and completion of the provincial land database.

On March 31, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Head of the provincial Steering Committee for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, chaired the Steering Committee’s first meeting of 2026.

On the afternoon of April 1 in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, chaired the National Conference on disaster prevention and control in 2026.

On March 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Government’s Steering Committee on science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and Project 06, chaired the Committee’s second meeting of 2026. The meeting was held in person at Government Headquarters and connected online with steering committees of provinces and centrally run cities, including Thai Nguyen Province.
