Inspecting Song Cong 2 Industrial Park Project - Phase 2

On May 27, a provincial delegation led by Mr. Bui Van Luong, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Council, inspected and urged progress on compensation, support, and resettlement work for the construction and infrastructure development project of Song Cong II Industrial Park – Phase 2, as well as resettlement areas serving the project.

The Song Cong II Industrial Park infrastructure investment and development project, Phase 2, is invested by Viglacera Thai Nguyen JSC and covers an area of more than 296 hectares. To date, compensation, site clearance, and land handover for Zone 2, covering 120.7 hectares, have been basically completed.

For Zone 1, with an area of nearly 176 hectares, relevant agencies are conducting site surveys, approving compensation plans, and reviewing resettlement arrangements for affected households.

Despite ongoing difficulties, according to the provincial Land Development Center, 63 hectares of priority land are expected to be handed over in May, followed by another 75 hectares in June, with the remaining site clearance work scheduled for completion by September 2026.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee called on the investor to mobilize maximum resources and accelerate infrastructure construction in order to put the project into operation soon, contributing to the province’s industrial development and investment attraction.
