Thai Nguyen honors students for outstanding achievements in national competitions

The People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province recently held a ceremony to honor and reward students and teachers for their outstanding achievements in national examinations and competitions.

In the 2025–2026 National Excellent Student Competition, Thai Nguyen recorded its highest-ever number of participants, with 215 students competing. At the end of the competition, 125 students from the province won prizes, including three First Prizes, 25 Second Prizes, 38 Third Prizes, and 59 Consolation Prizes.

Students from Thai Nguyen also achieved impressive results in national science and technology competitions as well as international contests. In the Students with Startup Ideas Competition, the province submitted 266 projects. At the conclusion of the competition, Thai Nguyen won one First Prize and two Third Prizes.

Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, said that the province will continue to improve the overall quality of education while further strengthening education for the gifted. It will also focus on developing the teaching workforce and educational administrators, continue investing in educational infrastructure, pay greater attention to disadvantaged areas, ethnic minority and mountainous communities, and ensure that every student has equal opportunities to learn and develop.
