The 2026 National High School Graduation Examination was held on June 11 and 12. Nationwide, more than 1.2 million candidates registered for the exam, with an attendance rate of 99.18 percent. In Thai Nguyen, 22,735 candidates registered for the examination, an increase of 402 compared with 2025.
According to the province's exam statistics, Mathematics recorded 650 papers scoring 9.0 or above, including 54 perfect scores. History saw 619 papers scoring at least 9.0, with 54 achieving a perfect score. In Literature, 274 papers scored 9.0 or above, although none received a perfect score. Several other subjects, including Biology, Foreign Language, Chemistry and Physics, also recorded perfect scores.
The marking process at the Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training's Examination Council was conducted from June 16 to June 23 in full compliance with examination regulations. Candidates seeking a re-mark should submit their requests within the prescribed timeframe and closely follow the university admissions schedule to ensure timely submission of their application preferences.
