230 ethnic minority students honored for outstanding achievements

The Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, recently held a ceremony to honor and reward ethnic minority students with outstanding achievements during the 2025–2026 academic year.

The event recognized 230 outstanding students representing 13 ethnic groups living across Thai Nguyen Province. Throughout the academic year, the students demonstrated remarkable dedication, achieving excellent results in academic studies, scientific research, national and provincial academic competitions, and extracurricular activities. They also represent more than 85,000 ethnic minority students in the province, inspiring the spirit of learning, resilience, and aspiration for success.

This marks the third consecutive year that the program has been organized to honor exemplary students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies, while reaffirming the province's commitment to education and human resource development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

During the 2025–2026 academic year, education quality in these areas continued to improve significantly. Of the province's 125 prizes in the national excellent student competition, 29 were awarded to ethnic minority students, reflecting the steady progress in educational quality and the effectiveness of policies supporting ethnic minority communities.
