On June 27, together with localities nationwide, Thai Nguyen Province simultaneously held a rally in response to the 2026 Month of Action Against Drugs and the "United in Building Drug-Free Communes and Wards" run. The program was connected online from the central venue at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi to the provincial venue at Vo Nguyen Giap Square and to communes and wards across the province.

The event attracted more than 25,000 participants at venues throughout the province. At the provincial central venue alone, around 3,000 officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces personnel, youth union members, students, and residents took part in the activities.
During the rally, delegates observed a memorial ceremony in honor of victims who lost their lives to drugs, officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the fight against drug-related crime, and families affected by drug abuse.
Immediately after the rally, more than 3,000 participants at the provincial central venue joined the "United in Building Drug-Free Communes and Wards" run, featuring a 1.5-kilometer race for women and a 3-kilometer race for men.
