“Morning Tea with Entrepreneurs” promotes investment attraction in Northern Thai Nguyen

On July 5, the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province held the “Morning Tea with Entrepreneurs” -July 2026 program under the theme: “Attracting Investment for Socio-Economic Development in Northern Thai Nguyen Province.”

Speaking at the event, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highlighted the northern area as a region with significant potential thanks to its strategic location, abundant natural resources and minerals, agriculture and forestry, clean energy, and tourism, particularly Ba Be Lake tourism. The area is also known for its distinctive products, including tea and medicinal herbs, its extensive forest coverage, and its rich cultural heritage. The province is prioritizing synchronized investment in strategic transport infrastructure to unlock the full potential of the northern region.

During the program, experts, scientists, businesses, and investors discussed and proposed a range of solutions to promote the development of northern Thai Nguyen in a green, modern, and sustainable direction.

As part of the event, the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province presented investment policy approval decisions and investment registration certificates for several key projects in the northern region. Notable projects include the Thien Long Cho Moi Wind Power Plant, with a capacity of 120 MW and total investment exceeding VND 4.442 trillion; the Cho Moi 4 Industrial Park Infrastructure Development and Business Project, with total investment of VND 3.5 trillion; and the Bac Kan Green Steel Plant Project. The province also presented a Land Use Rights Certificate to Thai Nguyen University.

The event also witnessed the signing of nine memoranda of understanding on investment cooperation between government agencies, localities, and businesses.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, reaffirmed that Thai Nguyen will continue building a facilitating government, accelerating administrative reform, improving the investment environment, and working closely with businesses to promptly realize the province’s planning, policies, and investment projects.
