In recent years, Thai Nguyen has prioritized the development of cultural and sports facilities at both provincial and grassroots levels. A key highlight is the Thai Nguyen Stadium, which has been completed and put into operation with a total investment of more than VND 535 billion.

The province has also designated nearly 120 hectares surrounding the stadium for the construction of additional sports facilities. During the 2026-2030 period, Thai Nguyen plans to allocate around VND 500 billion to complete the stadium's technical infrastructure, upgrade the provincial Sports Talent School, develop football training grounds, and build supporting facilities.

Following the survey, the delegation noted that the area has strong potential to be developed into a national sports complex, capable of meeting training and competition needs for multiple sports while also hosting major cultural and sporting events.

Representatives of provincial departments and agencies called on the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue supporting Thai Nguyen in planning and developing the sports complex to national standards.

They also proposed prioritizing investment resources for key sports infrastructure projects, enabling the province to capitalize on its advantages and gradually become a national and international hub for sporting competitions and cultural events.
