'Lakes on the Mountains - Tea in the Clouds' kicks off Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026

Recently, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Thai Nguyen Province officially opened its Tourism Season 2026 under the theme “Lakes on the Mountains - Tea in the Clouds”. Mrs. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Prime Minister, along with leaders of central ministries and agencies, and a large number of residents and visitors attended the event.

Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026 is held to promote the province’s tourism potential and strengths, its unique cultural values, and the image of the “Tea Region” to both domestic and international visitors. With advantages in natural landscapes, cultural identity, and the depth of its revolutionary history, Thai Nguyen is gradually building its image as an attractive destination in Vietnam’s northern midland and mountainous region, aiming to develop tourism into a key economic sector of the locality.

The highlight of the opening night was the large-scale art performance titled “Symphony of Lakes on the Mountains – Tea in the Clouds”, featuring a combination of symphonic music, folk arts, lighting performances, 3D mapping, drone light shows, and artistic fireworks.

Within the framework of the program, Thai Nguyen Province received a Vietnam record certification for a bamboo pole dance performance using 1,000 pairs of bamboo poles, with the participation of more than 15,000 artisans, performers, residents, and tourists, creating a distinctive highlight for the Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026.
