Recently, the Provincial People's Committee has held a working session with the World Bank (WB) to review the progress of the dynamic urban development project in Thai Nguyen City. Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting. Leaders of departments and relevant agencies of the province and the city People's Committee attended the working session.

After listening to the information about the project's progress, the World Bank representative highly praised the leadership, direction, and implementation efforts of Thai Nguyen Province and Thai Nguyen City in completing the project and achieving objectives beyond the planned targets.
Regarding the project's progress, 4 out of 9 construction items have been completed and put into operation since 2022. The remaining 5 items have completed work ranging from 70 to 90 percent.
Regarding financial matters, the accumulated loan capital is over 945 billion VND, accounting for 73.7 percent of the total loan capital. The corresponding disbursed capital reached over 714 billion VND, accounting for 73.8 percent of this capital.

At the working session, representatives of the provincial departments and Thai Nguyen City clarified issues related to environmental management, ensuring labor safety, land clearance, and implementing the World Bank's recommendations.
Vice Chairman Le Quang Tien agreed with the suggested content and issues raised by the World Bank and requested close coordination between relevant departments and agencies of the province and city to accelerate the project's progress.
