At the Conference on the Development of the Mineral Deep Processing Industry in Thai Nguyen Province for the 2026–2030 Period, with a Vision to 2050, held on August 3, Mr. Phan Chien Thang, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Masan High-Tech Materials (MSR), announced that Masan Tungsten LLC (MTC) will continue expanding the tungsten value chain in Thai Nguyen, with the goal of establishing a fully integrated ecosystem spanning mining, refining, deep processing, and recycling.

At the conference, MTC's practical insights attracted significant interest and positive feedback from delegates, contributing a valuable business perspective to the province's strategic direction for developing its mineral deep processing industry.

Speaking from the perspective of a pioneer in mineral deep processing, Mr. Phan Chien Thang shared MTC's practical experience in developing Vietnam's tungsten value chain, emphasizing the critical role of deep processing in enhancing the value of mineral resources and creating high value-added products.

He also proposed several solutions to accelerate the development of the mineral deep processing industry in Thai Nguyen, with the objective of strengthening the province's position in the strategic minerals sector.

Accordingly, MTC plans to expand its tungsten oxide processing capacity, invest in a tungsten metal powder production plant, develop a tungsten recycling facility based on a circular economy model, and seek to attract strategic partners from both domestic and international markets.

These initiatives are expected to further strengthen Vietnam's tungsten value chain while providing a solid foundation for Thai Nguyen to enhance its role in the global strategic minerals value chain.

As a company directly investing in mineral deep processing, MTC also called on the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies to continue supporting the company by expediting investment approval procedures, improving incentive mechanisms for deep processing and high-tech projects, and creating favorable conditions to attract strategic partners from both Vietnam and abroad.

MTC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Masan High-Tech Materials. The company operates one of the world's largest and most advanced tungsten refining facilities in Thai Nguyen, utilizing state-of-the-art technology transferred from Germany.

MTC specializes in manufacturing high-purity tungsten products that meet the stringent requirements of strategic industries, including electronics, automotive, aerospace, energy, and chemicals.

Its key products include APT (Ammonium Paratungstate), BTO (Blue Tungsten Oxide), and YTO (Yellow Tungsten Oxide), which are primarily exported to the European Union, North America, Japan, and South Korea.

MTC has been certified as a High-Tech Enterprise by Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology, recognizing the company's technological capabilities and reaffirming its pioneering role in advancing the mineral deep processing industry in Thai Nguyen Province.
