Thai Nguyen promotes cooperation with Welltea Company from Taiwan (China)

The Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee recently held a meeting with a delegation from Welltea Company, Taiwan (China) to discuss investment opportunities, the development of tea-growing areas, deep processing, and market expansion for Thai Nguyen tea.

At the meeting, provincial leaders introduced an overview of Thai Nguyen's tea industry, which has more than 22,000 hectares of tea plantations and an annual fresh tea leaf output of over 275,000 tons. The province is also home to many OCOP products and geographical indications protected both domestically and internationally.

Thai Nguyen expressed its hope that Welltea would invest in a modern tea processing plant in the province and apply Taiwanese technology to develop value-added tea products, thereby enhancing product value and increasing incomes for tea growers.

Representatives of Welltea highly appreciated the quality of the local tea-growing areas, favorable natural conditions, and the development potential of Thai Nguyen tea.

The company expressed its interest in investing in a processing plant in the province while working with cooperatives and businesses to develop standardized tea-growing areas and establish a stable supply chain for both the domestic and export markets.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Loan affirmed that the province would provide the most favorable conditions for the company to study and implement its investment project. She also warmly invited Welltea to participate in the Thai Nguyen Tea Festival 2026.
