Thai Nguyen prepares for the establishment of FDI Business Associations

On July 7, the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee held a meeting with businesses expected to join the Korean FDI Business Association and the Chinese FDI Business Association in Thai Nguyen. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the event, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan stressed that the establishment of FDI business associations marks an important step toward strengthening ties between the foreign-invested business community, the local government, and domestic enterprises.

The associations will serve as a platform for businesses to exchange information, raise concerns related to investment and business operations, while promoting cooperation, supporting industry development, technology transfer, and enhancing the competitiveness of local enterprises.

Representatives of FDI businesses also noted that the associations would provide a unified voice for the foreign-invested business community and strengthen connections with Vietnamese enterprises.

To date, 37 Korean companies and 30 Chinese companies have agreed to join the associations. Relevant authorities are finalizing the required procedures, with the official launch expected on July 23, 2026.
