The period saw 12 newly licensed projects, including six FDI projects and six DDI projects, while 11 existing projects received approval to increase their registered capital. Notably, FDI inflows in the second quarter were more than 17.6 times higher than in the same period of 2025, marking the strongest year-on-year growth in recent years.

As of the reporting date, total accumulated FDI had reached nearly US$7.77 billion, exceeding the revised 2026 target by 29.4 percent. Total accumulated DDI stood at nearly VND8.489 trillion, surpassing the annual target by 13.2 percent. These results enabled the province's industrial parks to achieve their annual investment attraction goals ahead of schedule, providing fresh momentum for the province's economic growth.

The strong performance was driven by proactive investment promotion efforts. The Management Board worked with more than 100 domestic and international investors, including major corporations such as Samsung, Posco, and Huaqin, which visited Thai Nguyen to explore investment opportunities.

The board has also continued to streamline administrative procedures, accelerate digital transformation, improve planning, develop infrastructure, and coordinate with relevant agencies to address business challenges, helping create a more favorable environment for new investment.
