The report presented at the meeting showed that after 18 months of implementation, Thai Nguyen had completed 167 out of 272 tasks assigned by the central government through the national monitoring system, achieving a completion rate of 61.4%, with no overdue tasks. All provincial-level science and technology tasks were developed based on practical needs, while approximately 65% of research outcomes had been put into application within 12 months, exceeding the target. The Thai Nguyen tea value chain, integrated with product traceability and e-commerce, was recognized by the Central Steering Committee as one of the country's outstanding models.
At the meeting, delegates analyzed the causes of existing bottlenecks, particularly challenges in developing a shared data platform, strengthening collaboration mechanisms between businesses and research institutions, promoting the commercialization of science and technology products, maximizing the effectiveness of the Yen Binh Concentrated Digital Technology Park, and enhancing the role of Thai Nguyen University in the province’s innovation ecosystem.
In his concluding remarks, Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong called on all levels of government, sectors, and specialized agencies to translate the objectives of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW into concrete, measurable results, contributing to the goal of making Thai Nguyen one of the leading centers for science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region of Vietnam.
