Thai Nguyen: Thousands participate in blood donation festival

On June 9, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation organized the blood donation festival “Thai Nguyen – A Thousand Loving Hearts” in response to the 12th edition of the “Red Journey – Connecting the Vietnamese Bloodline” program in 2026.

Thousands of officials, civil servants, public employees, youth union members, young people, armed forces personnel, and residents across the province gathered to register for blood donation. The event took place in a vibrant and orderly atmosphere, with the support of a large number of volunteers.

The program is expected to collect more than 1,000 units of blood. All donated blood will be added to the reserve blood supply to support emergency care and medical treatment during the summer.

Before the festival, a series of meaningful activities were organized, including mobile parades, volunteer exchanges, and an incense-offering ceremony to pay tribute to fallen youth volunteer heroes and martyrs.
