On June 7, at the University of Agriculture and Forestry under Thai Nguyen University, the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Health Organization, the Mekong Institute, the Institute of Environmental Health and Sustainable Development, and other partners, organized a series of activities to mark World Food Safety Day 2026.

Under the theme “From Burden to Solutions – Safe Food Everywhere,” experts and delegates focused on discussing emerging food safety risks in the context of urbanization and industrialization. Participants shared scalable solutions for ensuring food safety, as well as food quality control models applied in modern distribution systems, traditional markets, and school kitchens.
Delegates also exchanged views on measures to improve the effectiveness of state management and strengthen consumer confidence in safe food products.
In addition, a range of communication activities, poster design competitions, and video production contests for school and university students were organized to promote awareness and spread the message of food safety throughout the community.
