According to the draft plan, the Festival is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2026 in conjunction with the 195th anniversary of the establishment of Thai Nguyen Province (November 4, 1831 – November 4, 2026). Organizers are considering two options for the opening ceremony venue: a large-scale outdoor performance stage at Nui Coc Lake Tourist Area or Vo Nguyen Giap Square.

The Festival will feature a combination of artistic performances, modern technology applications, and a Tea Carnival parade. A range of special activities is also planned, including the Vietnam Master Tea Competition to honor tea-making artistry and tea culture; the “Heritage Train” program on the Hanoi–Thai Nguyen railway route; a nighttime tea-tasting tour incorporating 3D mapping technology; as well as promotional events, trade promotion activities, investment networking, and tourism development programs associated with tea culture.

The Vice Chairwoman requested relevant agencies and units to continue refining the organizational plan and project; develop distinctive tourism products linked to tea-growing areas, tea cultural spaces, traditional craft village experiences, and local cuisine; while also accelerating the application of digital technology and mobilizing social resources to gradually establish the International Tea Festival – Thai Nguyen as a signature cultural and tourism brand of the province.
