Vietnam–Laos friendship strengthened through generations

Recently, at Thai Nguyen College, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association organized an exchange program themed “Passing on the Torch of Tradition – Fostering the Enduring Vietnam–Laos Friendship”. The event was attended by representatives of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam, Vietnamese volunteer veterans who served in Laos, and a large number of students from Thai Nguyen and Laos currently studying in the province.

At the program, veterans shared stories of the difficult years of wartime service along the Truong Son route, highlighting the close bonds between soldiers and local people, as well as the mutual support and solidarity that became a powerful symbol of the sincere international friendship between the two nations.

Carrying forward that legacy, representatives of the younger generation, including Youth Union officials, Vietnamese students, and Lao students, expressed their pride and reaffirmed their commitment to preserve and further strengthen the special friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.

On this occasion, the organizing committee and sponsors presented meaningful gifts to former Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and Truong Son veterans. Gifts were also awarded to outstanding Vietnamese students and Lao students studying in Thai Nguyen.
