Recently, at Thai Nguyen College, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association organized an exchange program themed “Passing on the Torch of Tradition – Fostering the Enduring Vietnam–Laos Friendship”.
These days, Bunpimay - the traditional New Year festival of the Lao people – is being celebrated. At schools across Thai Nguyen Province, many Lao students studying here have come together to join in the festive atmosphere. Not only does the celebration help ease homesickness, but it also contributes to spreading the beauty of Lao culture in Vietnam.
On April 8, at Thai Nguyen University of Education under Thai Nguyen University, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association held the program “Celebrating Laos’ Traditional Bunpimay New Year 2569 (according to the Buddhist calendar).”
Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong had a working session with a delegation from Houaphanh Province (Lao People’s Democratic Republic).
To mark the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 46th anniversary of the Vietnam–Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, from 18 November, a delegation from Thai Nguyen Province, led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, began its working visit to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
