Retail sales and consumer service revenue up 19.8%

In the first six months of 2026, total retail sales and consumer service revenue in Thai Nguyen Province were estimated at more than VND 57.562 trillion, increasing 19.8% compared to the same period in 2025.

This growth reflects the continued recovery of consumer demand, while trade and service activities maintained steady momentum and made an important contribution to the province’s economic growth.

Within the revenue structure, retail sales remained the key driver, reaching an estimated VND 40.8 trillion, an increase of 20.5% year-on-year. Revenue from accommodation and food services was estimated at approximately VND 5.5 trillion, up 23.3%, making it the fastest-growing sector.

Tourism and travel services generated an estimated VND 14.3 billion, up 13.5%, while revenue from other services reached VND 11.1 trillion, an increase of 15.7% compared to the same period last year.
