Thai Nguyen steps up preparations for 2026 examinations

On May 12, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and the Steering Committee for High School Admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year, chaired a meeting with members of the two steering committees to unify key contents related to the organization of these examinations in the province. The meeting was connected online to local authorities across the province.

For the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination, a total of 22,843 candidates have registered. For the Grade 10 high school entrance examination for the 2026–2027 academic year, 23,490 candidates have registered. More than 4,000 personnel will be involved in organizing each examination.

The provincial people’s committee has issued documents, plans, and decisions related to directing and organizing the examinations. The Department of Education and Training has guided educational institutions in implementing assigned tasks, conducted training sessions, organized mock exams, and received exam registration applications. At the same time, it has coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to prepare facilities and necessary conditions for the examinations.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing contingency plans in case of natural disasters or disease outbreaks, as well as measures to ensure traffic safety, security, and public order, healthcare, and food safety and hygiene during the examination period.

The Vice Chairman requested communes and wards to proactively develop plans and closely coordinate in organizing the examinations, create favorable conditions for candidates, and strengthen communication efforts so that residential groups, families, and candidates fully understand examination regulations, contributing to the successful organization of the 2026 examinations.
