Thai Nguyen – Tuyen Quang strengthen inter-provincial cooperation

Recently, in Tuyen Quang Province, Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang signed a memorandum of understanding to align orientations for inter-provincial development cooperation in the new period. The conference was co-chaired by Mr. Hau A Lenh, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee.

At the meeting, leaders of the two provinces assessed that Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang hold important and complementary positions within the regional and inter-regional development space. One of the key topics discussed in depth was the development of inter-regional transport infrastructure and the expansion of connectivity routes to effectively tap into industrial and logistics potential.

Tuyen Quang is focusing on developing raw material zones for agriculture and forestry products, while Thai Nguyen is promoting its advantages in deep processing, logistics, and exports. The two localities also have significant potential for cooperation in tourism and culture.

Connecting historical, ecological, and experiential tourism routes is expected to create tourism products bearing the distinctive Viet Bac identity, contributing to the development of services and the green economy.

At the conference, leaders of Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang agreed to strengthen coordination in six key areas to create momentum for regional linkage and maximize the strengths of each locality.

The two sides will coordinate in making recommendations to the Central Government, relevant ministries, and agencies to address difficulties and accelerate strategic infrastructure projects such as the Thai Nguyen – Tuyen Quang expressway, the Thai Nguyen – Tuyen Quang – Yen Bai railway, and the Ho Chi Minh Road section from Cho Chu to the Trung Son intersection, while effectively implementing tasks assigned by the Central Government.
