Thai Nguyen City: Technical opening of Bac Nam Road and Huong Thuong Bridge

On October 19, the Thai Nguyen City Party Committee - People's Council - City People's Committee solemnly held the technical traffic opening ceremony of the Bac Nam Road and Huong Thuong Bridge, Huong Thuong - Chua Hang Road.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai, and the delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate Bac Nam Road and Huong Thuong Bridge, Huong Thuong - Chua Hang street.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People Committee; Mr. Pham Hoang Son, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People Council attended the ceremony. 

Huong Thuong Bridge

Bac Nam Road and Huong Thuong Bridge project; Huong Thuong - Chua Hang street belongs to Thai Nguyen City's Dynamic Urban Integrated Development Project, has a total investment cost of nearly 1,380 billion VND and total length of 3.2km. Of which, Bac Nam road section is 2.46km long, the roadbed is 16.5m-21m wide, and is designed with four lanes; Huong Thuong bridge is designed as an extradosed cable-stayed bridge with 3 main spans made of prestressed concrete, with a design life of 100 years, design speed of 60km/h. The total length of the bridge and access road is 740m, the bridge cross-section is 23.5m wide and is designed with 4 lanes.

These are two important projects in connecting traffic between the two banks of Cau River, the central area and the east of Thai Nguyen city, contributing to reducing traffic congestion.

The leadership of Thai Nguyen City commends the outstanding efforts of the localities in successfully carrying out the land clearance for Thai Nguyen City's Dynamic Urban Integrated Development Project.

On the ceremony, provincial and city leaders presented gifts and commendations to the dedicated team of architects, engineers, technical personnel, and workers from various contractors. At the same time, they expressed their gratitude to nearly 1,200 households and individuals affected by the project and who had handed over their land for the project's construction, ensuring that the project progressed as planned.
