Enhancing exchange and cooperation with Canadian organizations and businesses

On October 16, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, welcomed and worked with the delegation from the Canadian Embassy led by Mr. Shawn Steil, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Vietnam.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of several relevant departments and agencies of the province, and representatives of Thai Nguyen University.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed her delight in receiving Mr. Shawn Steil and the members of the Canadian Embassy delegation for their visit. After providing an overview of the province's economic and social situation, its potential, strengths, and investment incentive policies, she expressed her hope that Mr. Shawn Steil and the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam could serve as a bridge to enhance exchanges and cooperation between Thai Nguyen province and Canadian organizations and businesses. It would open opportunities for both sides to promote cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, including culture, education and training, healthcare, investment and trade, climate change mitigation, and environmental protection.

In particular, the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam is committed to facilitating introductions and connections between Canadian enterprises and investors interested in exploring cooperation and investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen. The province committed to create the most favorable conditions for Canadian businesses.

Recognizing the province's potential, strengths, and investment attraction orientation, Ambassador Shawn Steil affirmed that in the coming time, the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam will focus on promoting and introducing the potentials and strengths of Thai Nguyen to Canadian enterprises. This initiative aims to boost the effectiveness of investment cooperation between Thai Nguyen and Canadian businesses.

On behalf of the working delegation, Ambassador Shawn Steil expressed gratitude for the warm and respectful reception from Thai Nguyen Province. He said the visit would be a significant foundation for achieving fruitful results in comprehensive development cooperation between Canada and Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen Province and Canadian enterprises in particular.
