On June 17, Mr. Nong Quang Nhat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the implementation progress of the Program on Investment Support, Improvement and Upgrading of Transport Infrastructure in Difficult and Extremely Difficult Communes of Thai Nguyen Province for the 2026–2030 period.
On May 27, a provincial delegation led by Mr. Bui Van Luong, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Council, inspected and urged progress on compensation, support, and resettlement work for the construction and infrastructure development project of Song Cong II Industrial Park – Phase 2, as well as resettlement areas serving the project.
Recently, in Tuyen Quang Province, Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang signed a memorandum of understanding to align orientations for inter-provincial development cooperation in the new period.
In the first quarter of 2026, Thai Nguyen continued to record positive signs in investment attraction, particularly in foreign direct investment (FDI), with an estimated trade surplus of around 3.6 billion U.S. dollars.
On the morning of March 10, Thai Nguyen Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Huu Cau dike section from Cao Ngan Bridge to Thac Huong Dam. This is a key project within the flood control system for the central area of Thai Nguyen Province. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee.
