On the morning of March 10, Thai Nguyen Province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Huu Cau dike section from Cao Ngan Bridge to Thac Huong Dam. This is a key project within the flood control system for the central area of Thai Nguyen Province. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee.

The Huu Cau dike section from Cao Ngan Bridge to Thac Huong Dam is approximately 15.9 kilometers long. It has a total estimated investment of more than VND 8.5 trillion, funded by the central government and provincial budgets. The dike is designed as a multi-purpose project, ensuring flood prevention and control while also integrating transport infrastructure development, contributing to more efficient land use, expanding urban space, and promoting local socio-economic development.
The project’s investor representative, the Project Management Board for Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment of Thai Nguyen Province, will closely coordinate with consulting units, contractors, and relevant local authorities to implement the project in accordance with regulations, ensuring quality, progress, and construction safety, and to bring the project into operation as soon as possible to meet the expectations of the authorities and local people.
