The People's Committee of Thai Nguyen Province has issued a plan for rural tourism development for the 2026–2030 period, aiming to create jobs, increase local incomes and contribute to sustainable new rural development.
Promoting rural tourism development
The province plans to develop community-based, ecological and agricultural experience tourism, while establishing distinctive destinations associated with tea culture, tea-growing areas, OCOP products, craft villages and the cultural identities of ethnic communities.
During the 2026–2030 period, Thai Nguyen will invest in and improve infrastructure and accommodation facilities; develop routes connecting tea-growing areas, craft villages, OCOP sites and community-based tourism destinations with key tourist attractions.
At the same time, the province will strengthen cooperation with travel businesses, train tourism personnel and preserve traditional cultural values.
The province will also accelerate digital transformation and apply online platforms, e-commerce, cashless payments and QR codes to promote destinations and improve service quality and visitors' experiences.
