Thai Nguyen and MobiFone accelerate digital transformation

The Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee and MobiFone Corporation signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the 2026–2030 period on July 15. Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone Corporation, attended the ceremony.

Witnessed by provincial leaders and delegates, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan and Major General Truong Son Lam signed the cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two sides will work together to study and propose solutions to advance digital transformation across the key pillars of digital government, digital infrastructure, the digital economy, and the digital society, while ensuring cybersecurity.

Key priorities include improving data connectivity and sharing, enhancing public services, expanding 4G and 5G networks, and reducing coverage gaps, especially in mountainous and remote areas.

The partnership will also explore the use of artificial intelligence and big data in public administration, smart transportation, and public safety and security. In addition, it will support businesses and household enterprises in adopting digital technologies, e-commerce, and cashless payments, while helping improve digital skills for officials and residents.

At the ceremony, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan called on provincial departments, agencies, and local authorities to work closely with MobiFone to develop specific implementation plans with clear responsibilities, timelines, and expected outcomes.

He also urged MobiFone to prioritize resources and continue supporting Thai Nguyen in effectively carrying out the signed cooperation agreement.
