In the first six months of this year, Thai Nguyen has welcomed nearly 1.9 million visitors, marking a 9.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached approximately 943 billion VND, up 21 percent from the first half of 2023.

The visitor numbers using all services show an high increase compared to the previous year. Particularly, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, several hotels in the downtown such as Kim Thai, The King, Da Huong, May Plaza achieved occupancy rates of 80-100 percent.
These results were achieved through proactive coordination between the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and districts and cities and tourism businesses, thereby, refresh tourism products, and improve services and prices, ensuring safety and hygiene for tourists.
Furthermore, the Department organized Famtrip or Presstrip to experience historical, cultural, and spiritual destinations, involving hundreds of representatives from tourism businesses and journalists from central and local newspapers. Particularly, The Department held successful the two conferences promoting tourism in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi.
