Activities for the 2026 Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival, which will commemorate the 195th anniversary of the establishment of Thai Nguyen Province and the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's return to the ATK Dinh Hoa and ATK Cho Don Resistance Bases, together with the Party Central Committee and the Government, to lead the resistance war against French colonial rule, are expected to begin in mid-September. The festival's opening ceremony is scheduled for the evening of October 30, with the closing ceremony on the evening of November 7.

At present, most tasks and activities are being implemented according to plan. Many items have completed the planning, scripting, and organizational stages, while the remaining tasks are being carried out and accelerated, focusing on communications, protocol and reception, logistics, technical arrangements, security, and safety.

However, as some activities are large-scale, involve new content, and require coordination among multiple agencies, organizations, and localities, additional time is needed to reach agreement and finalize organizational plans. The progress of some tasks also depends on coordination, funding arrangements, and the mobilization of social resources.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan requested that departments, agencies, and localities closely coordinate to organize a diverse range of activities with distinctive highlights that will leave a lasting impression on visitors. Communication efforts should be intensified from mid-August and continue before, during, and after the event to widely promote the image of Thai Nguyen.
