| From tea-growing areas and craft villages to green agricultural production areas, many localities across the province are gradually developing green spaces where visitors can enjoy experiences close to nature. |
In Hoang Nong, La Bang Commune, greenery can be seen along the roads. Clean and well-maintained roads shaded by trees are the result of residents working together to care for and protect their living environment.
Mr. Trinh Van Pha, Hoang Nong Hamlet, La Bang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province said: “Environmental protection is an urgent issue that directly affects people’s lives and production. For tea-growing areas, a clean environment is even more important because tea is closely linked to local people’s lives and livelihoods. That is why we believe that creating a green, clean and beautiful environment is the foundation for sustainable tea production”.
To create a green and welcoming rural environment for experiential tourism, La Bang Commune has maintained seven self-managed models known as “Bright, Green, Clean and Beautiful Residential Areas”. Every month, “Green Friday” activities are held in all 14 hamlets, helping raise awareness of environmental protection from individual households to roads and residential areas.
According to Mr. Trinh Van Thuc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Bang Commune, Thai Nguyen Province: “In recent years, we have encouraged residents to develop organic tea production alongside environmental protection, with a focus on collecting pesticide containers and packaging. We have also raised awareness about developing tourism around tea cultivation, because local people are the direct beneficiaries. Attracting more visitors helps promote tea products more widely, thereby increasing their value and selling prices”.

Mrs. Pho Thi Thao, Dong Hy Commune, Thai Nguyen Province said: “I feel proud to have such a green fruit garden right near my home, with fresh, safe and delicious fruit”.
Mr. Dam Quang Tuyen, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province shared “Combining economic development with environmental protection not only creates beautiful landscapes but also brings practical benefits to local residents. This can help make Thai Nguyen an attractive destination for visitors while increasing the economic value of local crops and livestock”.
Beyond simply producing and selling agricultural products, many producers and businesses are adopting a new approach: turning the places where products are grown and produced into part of the visitor experience. When every product has its own story and every production area offers a unique experience, this can lay the foundation for developing new destinations and further enhancing the value of green and experience-based agriculture.
