To date, all students in grades 1 and 2 at primary schools in Thai Nguyen city have studied English elective programs; 100 percent of students from grade 3 to grade 9 have learned a new 10-year English program.

In particular, some schools have implemented teaching Math and other English subjects, such as Chu Van An, Nha Trang, and Doc Lap secondary schools.
The Division of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen city ensures a sufficient number of teachers to teach the new English program, and all English teachers meet training standards.
The number of students who are good at foreign languages at all levels achieved encouraging results. In the academic year 2022-2023, the Division of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen city has an average score of 5.96 points in English (the provincial average is 5.15 points).
Particularly, implementing Resolution No. 14/2021/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council, which stipulates certain policies to support English teaching and learning in the province, in the academic year 2022-2023, Thai Nguyen city has seen 11 secondary school students with IELTS certificates ranging from 5.0 to 7.5, as well as certificates in other foreign languages. They are supported with exam fees exceeding 40 million VND per student.
