Thai Nguyen and Nha Trang cities exchange experiences on digital transformation

On the afternoon of August 21, Thai Nguyen City leader of Thai Nguyen City welcomed and worked with the delegation from the Standing Committee of the Nha Trang City Party Committee (Khanh Hoa Province), led by Mr. Ho Van Mung, the Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, the Secretary of Nha Trang City Party Committee. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange experiences on digital transformation in Party building, state management, and the operational model of the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC).

On this occasion, the Thai Nguyen city leader informed the delegation about the city's leadership, guidance, and implementation of digital transformation. Accordingly, Thai Nguyen City has focused on investing in technical infrastructure, advancing administrative procedure reforms, constructing a digital government, and developing a smart urban area.

As a result, the entire city proposed issuing 548 digital signatures for officials and civil servants, implemented 'paperless meetings,' achieved over 4,200 personnel digital files for officials and civil servants, upgraded the online public service software system to level 3-4, directly connected with the Provincial Public Service Portal and the National Public Service Portal.

In building a smart city, Thai Nguyen City has invested nearly 45 billion VND to establish an Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) and a system of urban safety surveillance cameras. Accordingly, integrated applications have been deployed, including economic and social data, healthcare and education data, map-based camera, and security monitoring cameras. 

During the meeting, the delegates focused on discussing the advantages, and challenges in the construction process, the operational mechanisms of the IOC; the operation of the city's surveillance cameras; updating and sharing data between Thai Nguyen City's IOC and the provincial IOC, as well as the National Data Center; ensuring data security; and experiences in deploying and using C-ThaiNguyen, the electronic party member handbook.

In conclusion, the two sides agreed to continue promoting solidarity and enhancing collaboration in various fields, especially in digital transformation. This contributes significantly to improving the effectiveness of leadership, guidance, and administration of the Party Committees and authorities of the two cities, driving socio-economic development, and bringing tangible benefits to the people.
