On August 21, at a meeting with Samsung Vietnam-affiliated businesses, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan affirmed that the province will continue to support businesses and create favorable conditions for them to expand production and business activities. He also asked the companies to promptly establish branches or representative offices, fully fulfill their tax obligations and make greater contributions to local development.

At the opening of the meeting, the Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee thanked Samsung Vietnam and its member companies for continuing to place their trust in and choose Thai Nguyen for new projects, reaffirming the province's increasingly favorable investment environment and its position in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).
Thai Nguyen will continue to support businesses and create favorable conditions for their development, while calling on Samsung's member companies to take greater responsibility and ensure a balance of interests among the State, businesses and local people. The Chairman asked four Samsung-affiliated companies currently operating in the province but without registered headquarters there to promptly establish branches or representative offices and fully fulfill their tax obligations.
According to the Thai Nguyen Tax Department, Samsung Vietnam is currently implementing two major projects in the province. The tax authority asked contractors and relevant entities to fully comply with their tax obligations. Samsung representatives committed to prioritizing the use of suitable local resources, accelerating project implementation and making greater contributions to Thai Nguyen's development.
The provincial authorities assigned relevant agencies to guide the companies in completing the necessary procedures, with the goal of establishing branches or representative offices before September 15 in full compliance with the law.
