One of the attractions drawing large crowds of residents and visitors during the National Day holiday is the sports and recreational activities at the “Slam Chiem – Colors on the Steppe” festival. On the very first day, August 31, the atmosphere in Hiep Luc Commune became lively and bustling, with a range of exciting activities set against the fresh, open space of the steppe.

There is no need for modern amusement parks. The appeal of Slam Chiem comes from its natural landscape. Rolling grasslands stretching toward the hills and mountains, wide open skies, and the early-autumn weather create an ideal setting for families to relax and enjoy experiences during the National Day holiday.
The festival has also attracted many young people. For them, a beautiful destination becomes even more appealing when there are activities to join, experiences to enjoy and moments to capture along the journey.

The official opening ceremony took place on the morning of September 1. Activities including recreational volleyball, cultural exchanges and traditional games such as stick pushing, blindfolded duck catching, tug of war, crossbow shooting and kite flying will continue.
On September 2, the festival concluded following competitions, cultural exchanges and the awarding of prizes.
To welcome residents and visitors during the holiday, local authorities have prepared the necessary conditions for the event, ensuring security, safety and suitable spaces for the activities.
Through the festival, Hiep Luc Commune also hopes to preserve, promote and widely introduce its distinctive landscapes and cultural features.
