Land clearance accelerated for Huu Cau Dike Project

On July 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Huu Cau Dike Construction Project, covering the section from Cao Ngan Bridge to Thac Huong Dam.

The project is 16.4 kilometers long and requires the acquisition of approximately 115 hectares of land, affecting more than 2,000 households and 17 organizations in Phan Dinh Phung, Quan Trieu, Gia Sang, and Linh Son wards. It is expected that 843 households will need to be resettled, while 517 graves will be relocated. The estimated cost of compensation, support, and land clearance is about VND 2.893 trillion.

According to the report, some land in Phan Dinh Phung Ward has already been handed over for construction, while land surveys, asset inventories, and compensation plans are continuing in the remaining areas.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairwoman instructed the project investor and relevant departments to review all assigned tasks, strengthen coordination, and focus on resolving outstanding issues.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment was tasked with guiding the implementation of compensation policies, while the Department of Construction was asked to assess the supply of construction materials. Local authorities were directed to accelerate land surveys, asset inventories, and the preparation of resettlement land.

The Project Management Board was instructed to closely monitor the progress of each project component to ensure early site handover and accelerate the overall implementation of the project.
