To address the consequences and quickly stabilise the lives of affected residents as soon as possible, on May 3, the Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee issued an urgent dispatch, requesting the Chairpersons of People’s Committees of affected communes and wards to mobilise the entire political system, forces, and necessary equipment to promptly carry out recovery efforts following thunderstorms, strong winds, and hail.

Accordingly, local authorities are required to urgently review, assess, and compile statistics on disaster-related damage; assist residents in repairing houses with damaged or blown-off roofs; arrange temporary accommodation; and provide food, drinking water, and essential supplies, ensuring that no resident suffers from hunger, cold, thirst, lack of shelter, or shortage of clothing.

Relevant departments, agencies, and sectors, based on their assigned functions and responsibilities, are instructed to urgently support affected localities to help residents resume normal life as soon as possible.
