Opening ceremony of Cau Muoi Communal House – Temple – Pagoda Historical and Cultural Complex

On the morning of February 20 (the 4th day of the first lunar month), the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh Commune organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 Spring Festival at the Cau Muoi Communal House – Temple – Pagoda historical and cultural complex.

Cau Muoi festival lasts until the end of the first lunar month.

The Cau Muoi communal house, temple, and pagoda complex was established in the 18th century and comprises one communal house, two temples, and one pagoda.

The communal house is dedicated to the village tutelary deity Duong Tu Minh, a renowned general of the Ly Dynasty who made significant contributions to repelling Song invaders and safeguarding and defending the northern frontier of Dai Viet in the 12th century. He is also a distinguished historical figure with great contributions to the land of Thai Nguyen.

The site complex is not only a place for religious and cultural activities for residents and visitors from across the country, but also a historical landmark associated with Tan Thanh Commune during the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism. In 2005, it was recognized by the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic.

Every year, the opening ceremony is held on the 4th day of the first lunar month to commemorate the merits of heroes who fought against foreign invaders and defended the nation, pray for favorable weather, peace, and happiness in the new year, and contribute to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values as well as local spiritual tourism.

The organizing committee has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure security, public order, and traffic safety, so that the festival takes place safely and solemnly.

The festival lasts until the end of the first lunar month.
