On the morning of February 24, at Van Xuan Square (Van Xuan Ward), the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union held the program of tree planting festival and the launch of Youth Month 2026. The event marked the beginning of a series of dynamic youth movements across the province in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – March 26, 2026).

Before the ceremony, delegates offered incense at Muc Temple, worshipping Ly Nam De, an important historical site recognized as the homeland of the first emperor of Vietnam.
The Youth Month 2026 holds special significance as an occasion for young people in Thai Nguyen to reflect on the proud 95-year tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, thereby inspiring pride, determination, and a spirit of dedication among union members and youth.
At the program, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union implemented various practical activities with total resources exceeding VND 2 billion. These included support for rebuilding schools affected by natural disasters; the donation of 100 computers to schools and localities; the handover of seven youth projects, such as children’s playgrounds, community fitness areas, and lighting systems; and the presentation of 50 gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged students and former youth volunteers.
Immediately after the launch ceremony, delegates and a large number of youth union members and young people planted more than 400 new trees at Van Xuan Square and along surrounding roads.
