Food safety inspections for Lunar New Year

The Inter-sectoral Inspection Team No. 2 on food safety of Thai Nguyen province has recently conducted inspections of food safety assurance for the 2026 Lunar New Year and Spring Festival in Dinh Hoa commune.

During the recent time, Dinh Hoa commune inspected 19 out of 872 food production, trading, and catering establishments in the area. As a result, all 19 establishments met requirements, with no violations detected or penalties imposed. However, food safety management still faces difficulties due to the large number of small-scale establishments and the fact that food safety officers mainly work on a part-time basis.

The team also carried out on-site inspections at two grocery and food retail establishments in the commune.

Through the inspections, the team requested the People’s Committee of Dinh Hoa commune to continue strengthening state management over food safety, maintain regular inspections, intensify communication and raise awareness among residents and business operators, ensuring food safety before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival.
