In 2025, economic diplomacy was implemented in a coordinated and comprehensive manner, closely aligned with the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State, achieving many notable results.
Viet Nam upgraded relations with 17 countries and signed approximately 350 cooperation agreements, focusing on economic, trade, investment, and science and technology. Relations with major partners continued to record significant breakthroughs, while cooperation was expanded in new and potential markets.
In 2026, economic diplomacy has been identified as a key task to be carried out in a proactive, flexible, and effective manner, in close association with the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the country’s strategic development goals.
Concluding the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed that economic diplomacy must continue to undergo strong renewal, with tangible effectiveness as the benchmark, striving to achieve sustainable double-digit growth, effectively harnessing new growth drivers, and contributing to enhancing Viet Nam’s position in the emerging global economic order.
