Over 176,000 people assisted through Red Cross activities

On December 16, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society held a conference to review its work and Red Cross movement in 2025 and to outline tasks for 2026.

The leader of the provincial Red Cross Association presents Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Red Cross Association to individuals with outstanding achievements in 2025.

The Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society currently has 52 grassroots chapters and 1,297 sub-branches with nearly 70,000 members. In 2025, many key movements and programs achieved notable results, including Tet for the Poor and Victims of Agent Orange, Humanitarian Month, voluntary blood donation, community health care, and disaster prevention and response.

The content and methods of operation continued to be renewed, with a stronger focus on the grassroots level, attracting the participation of a large number of officials, members, volunteers, and residents. The total value of humanitarian activities exceeded VND 133 billion, contributing to assistance for more than 176,000 disadvantaged beneficiaries.

In 2026, the Provincial Red Cross Society will continue to strengthen communication efforts, mobilize resources, enhance the capacity of its officials and members, and further promote its core role in humanitarian activities.
