On the afternoon of January 14, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the National Convention Center in Hanoi to inaugurate the Press Center for the 14th National Party Congress. This is one of the key opening activities serving information and communications work for the 14th National Congress, a major political event of the country.

The Press Center is equipped with modern facilities and technical infrastructure, meeting reporting needs with high-speed internet connectivity, over 150 computers, 10 printers, 02 fax machines, and 10 large-screen television monitors. These facilities provide the most favorable conditions for both domestic and international journalists to work and report on the Congress.
As of the opening, a total of 597 journalists and technicians from 113 domestic media organizations, along with 79 journalists and press assistants from 43 foreign news agencies and media outlets, overseas Vietnamese journalists, and journalists representing political parties and governing parties, had registered to cover the 14th National Congress.
Before the opening ceremony of the Press Center and the international press conference on the 14th National Congress, Party and State leaders, together with a large number of delegates, visited the thematic exhibition and display areas at the National Convention Center.
