Comprehensive review of Thai Nguyen Provincial master plan

Recently, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a conference to comprehensively review the proposed adjustments to the Thai Nguyen provincial master plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Based on the draft adjustments to the provincial plan, which have been consulted with central ministries and agencies, leaders of relevant departments and sectors presented 11 categories of proposed adjustments across multiple fields.

These include urban development; industrial parks and clusters; the road transport network; power and water supply systems; solid waste treatment facilities; plans for the protection, exploitation, and use of natural resources; priority investment projects in the 2026–2030 period in the field of education and training; and plans for golf course development.

Addressing the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized that the master plan adjustments must demonstrate strong aspirations for growth, to build Thai Nguyen into a regional center of the Northern midland and mountainous region.

He assigned relevant departments and sectors to finalize the adjustment contents, report to the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, and submit opinions to central ministries and agencies within January 2026. A submission dossier is to be prepared for consideration at the Provincial People’s Council session in February 2026.
