Thai Nguyen Provincial Police: Maintaining security and order, accomplishing assigned tasks

On the afternoon of December 17, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police held a conference to review its work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026. Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote address. Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council; and leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee also attended the conference.

In 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police achieved comprehensive results across all areas of work, firmly maintaining political security and stability, preventing the emergence of complex hotspots, and ensuring absolute security and safety for major political and socio-economic events, Party congresses at all levels, and activities of Central leadership delegations and international guests.

Crime prevention and control recorded many positive outcomes, with crimes against social order decreasing by 11.6% compared with 2024; the rate of investigation and case clearance reaching 88.2%; and traffic accidents decreasing across all three criteria. The implementation of the Government’s Project 06 continued to be intensified, contributing to the promotion of digital transformation in the field of security and order.

In his address at the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police. He also recognized the sense of responsibility and efforts of the provincial police force in responding to and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters.

Regarding tasks in the coming period, the Deputy Minister basically agreed with the eight groups of tasks and three breakthrough areas that had been set out, and requested the Thai Nguyen Provincial Police to focus on Party building and force development in association with the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 12; improve the quality of advisory work and the effectiveness of state management of security and order; promote social and professional preventive measures; and proactively combat all types of crime, especially crimes that exploit science and technology and cyberspace.

At the same time, the force is required to ensure absolute security and safety for the 14th National Party Congress, the election of the 16th National Assembly, elections of People’s Councils at all levels, and the Lunar New Year peak period; and to give due attention to policy and welfare work, creating favorable conditions for officers and soldiers to feel secure in performing their duties.
