Meeting to celebrate Vietnam - Laos friendship and solidarity year

On September 13, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province coordinated with Thai Nguyen College to organize a meeting to celebrate the 5th Vietnam - Laos friendship and solidarity year - 2022.

The Organizing Committee gives gifts to Lao students who achieved excellent results in the school year 2021-2022.

At the meeting, the delegates reviewed the tradition of solidarity and friendship between the two countries. 

Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries, sharing a border of more than 2,000 kilometers. In the past, the people of the two countries have stood side by side, overcome all difficulties, and fought against the common enemy. From the traditional friendship, it developed into a special solidarity friendship, comprehensive and deep cooperation.

Thai Nguyen has signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Luang Prabang province and has cooperative relations with Hua Phan, Xieng Khoang, Bo Keo provinces, and Vientiane Capital of Laos. In particular, special attention is paid to cooperation in education and economy. 

The Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province has 6 district associations with 3,000 official members. Over 1400 Lao students are studying at 11 universities, colleges, and high schools in the province.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee gave gifts to 30 Lao students with excellent achievements in the school year 2021-2022.
