Minister of Education and Training encourages development of non-public schools

On the afternoon of September 10th, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son led by the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training had a meeting with Thai Nguyen province's leaders. Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son and Ngo Thi Minh attended the delegation. Attending the delegation was Mr. Hau A Lenh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister - Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Affairs.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, welcomed and worked with the delegation. 

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee quickly informed about the socio-economic development, education, and training policy of Thai Nguyen province and affirmed that the province always considers education and training as a top priority, which plays a very important role in socio - economic development. The breakthrough is that the province has issued a Resolution to support English teaching and learning.

At the meeting, Thai Nguyen Department of Education and Training leader reported outstanding results for the 2021-2022 school year and the key tasks of the 2022-2023 school year, and some difficulties in carrying out the province's educational tasks. 

Leaders of departments and agencies of the Ministry of Education and Training answered and clarified many contents at the request of the Department of Education and Training.

In conclusion, Minister Nguyen Kim Son thanked the leaders of Thai Nguyen province for paying special attention to the field of education and training. That has been concretized through programs, schemes, and plans for the education sector. The Minister also highly appreciated the indicators of the province's education sector, such as net enrolment rates for children, the construction of national standard schools, and digital transformation.

The Minister suggested Thai Nguyen continue to pay attention to investing in school facilities in the direction of standardization, especially investment in digital libraries and sanitation facilities. 

Facing the lack of public schools, the Minister also suggested that the province continue to encourage the development of the system of non-public schools.
