High-intensity campaign to combat and suppress crime, ensure security and order

On December 12, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, attended the launching ceremony of a high-intensity campaign to combat and suppress crime, and ensure security and order to prepare for the 14th National Party Congress, the election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term, and the 2026 Lunar New Year.

The campaign is conducted from December 15, 2025, to March 16, 2026.

In his directive remarks, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of the police forces in 2025. Social order-related crimes decreased by 13.3%; the investigation rate exceeded 88%; 568 drug-related cases were uncovered; serious and extremely serious cases all declined. During the recent floods, the police mobilized more than 18,000 officers and soldiers to participate in rescue and support residents.

He requested that the provincial police continue proactively grasping the situation, closely coordinating with relevant sectors and localities; implementing comprehensive professional measures; strengthening the management of residency, foreigners, weapons, and explosives; and further promoting the movement of all people to safeguard national security.

The high-intensity campaign is conducted from December 15, 2025, to March 16, 2026. During this period, the provincial police will focus on strongly attacking all types of crime, ensuring absolute security and safety for major national and provincial political events in 2026.
